I finally figured out what i'm going to do with the QDL i could never get to type right. I love the feel of it, but there are some major quirks that are hard to get over.
I got the idea from you! I'm going to get the ready to go kit, as I don't have tools or electric know how, but it should be a fun summer project--and take a typewriter that won't print descenders and make it awesome again!
I'm working on doing the same thing with an Underwood Universal. It's been a big project, but a fun big project. Do it!
